Kom ons hekel hoedjies! – Liana Pettifer

HATS
Hoed

Once you understand the principal/anatomy of a hat,you can use any yarn or stitch pattern.
Read Cornel’s anatomy of the hat here http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/happy-holiday-hat
or see my pin.
1) Crown: is a flat circle, starting with 12 sts. For a slightly rounder snugger fit and usually with thicker yarn,I start with 10 sts.The circumference of the flat circle determines the width of the hat.Average is about 17 cm.
2) Side: is a straight tube which ends at about the tip of the ear.
3) Brim:Can be a continuation of the flat circle.More incr give a floppier effect.I have yet to find the perfect pattern/yarn combo.Thicker yarn(Aran wool) and a smaller hook, Elza’s method of crocheting over the previous row, and narrower rather than wide seem to work for a stiffer brim.

Ons hekel groot Granny Squares – Adele Marais

Giant square CAL Playing Hooky

clothogoncho
http://clothogancho.canalblog.com/archives/2013/01/10/26113498.html

Nou waar begin ‘n mens?
Kleur:
My bord: http://www.pinterest.com/hekelverslaaf/colour/

Hier is my pinterest bord vir 12”blokke: http://www.pinterest.com/hekelverslaaf/12squares/

X lb
Lb, ks, lb
V st (lb, ks, lb in 1 steek) slaan 2 steke oor
Bobbel steek lyk baie mooi
3/5 rye linenst (kb, ks, kb; vlge ry kb in ks sp en ks oor die kb)
Granny clusters
2 dc together met ‘n ks tussenin
Shellst
Dc 3 together met 2 ks tussenin
Gewone rye met hlb of lbe

Probeer die steke eenvoudig hou. Dit lyk nogal mooi as mens weerskante van ‘n nuwe steek ‘n ry hlb of lb in dieselfde kleur maak.

Hier is nog ‘n voorbeeld van ‘n eenvoudige stirch sampler waarmee Looby Loops besig is:

Looby's loops

As dit lyk of die rondtes bietjie begin “wobble”of golwe maak doen 1 of 2 rondtes net in kbe.
Begin ‘n nuwe kleur in ‘n ander hoek.

1. HOW TO SHOP ON OUR WEBSITE: Klick on “All Categories” to see ALL our wonderful yarns. If you want more info on a product, click on the picture and all you need to know, will appear. Click on “Add to cart” if you want to buy. At the top right of the page you will be able to see the total of your purchases being added up. Remember to keep cost of postage in mind. The shipping calculator does that automatically. As our parcels are being shipped directly from the factory in Turkey, it is a bit expensive. The low cost of our yarns, however, more than makes up for that!

Click on “Shopping cart” to see your full order with shipping cost. Here you can make your final decision and you have the option to delete items if you change your mind. First complete your address details, as it influences the shipping cost. USE A PHYSICAL ADDRESS because your parcel will be delivered to your doorstep by courier. REMEMBER to tick next to SOUTH AFRICA on the list of countries, otherwise the shipping calculator will make you pay for shipment to the USA which is more than twice than that here to us. Tick in the little circle next to SKYNET as it is the best option for us. Check everything twice before proceeding. Now click on “Complete Order” to arrange for payment. All our payments go through PayPal which is the safest way to buy on the internet. You do NOT need a PayPal account to do so. You can pay with any credit/debit card. A click on this link below will take you directly to the online shop. You can phone Madelie if you encounter any problems: 082 264 1943 or just inbox me.

Hou my vas, hou my vas!!

Nee, ek raak nie romanties nie, ek’s opgewonde! ‘n Ou vriendin van my ma se uitdrukking van “Hou my vas, hou my vas!” wat sy altyd gebruik het wanneer sy baie opgewerk raak oor iets, is op my van toepassing vandag en dit oor ek MY EIE aanlynwolwinkel begin het!!

Gaan loer gerus op my Facebookblad: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Yarn-shop/249042995290725

🙂 Have fun.

Volgende jaar maak ons weer so!

Sien jou daar!!
